11 years with a ruptured ear drum? Background: When I was 6 years prehistoric, i got a really bad double...

When I was 6 years frail, i got a really bad double ear infection. It was so bleak, that my right ear drum ruptured. I was sent to the doctor and I dont really remember what they said, but anyways i was put on the antibiotics. After that, nobody in my kinfolk thought about it again. Now, 11 years later, I was doing some research on ruptured eardrums because my friend get one about a year ago and went into surgery yesterday to get it replaced next to an artificial one. During my research, i found the symptoms of a popped eardrum, and surprisingly noticed that i have quite a few of them. Heres a document:
sporadic short lived pain in my ear
slightly worse hearing contained by that ear
vertigo just about every time i stand up (which is not from dehydration or anything, I'm a runner, I'm never dehydrated :P)
LOTS of ear ringing

The website say that they usually heal themselves within two months, but in some cases, they dont (like my friend whose have his for a year). So, my question is, is it possible that after 11 years I STILL have a ruptured eardrum?
Answers:    It is possible or the ear drum is partially dog-eared. I recommend you see a ENT medical specialist for your condition and have them perform a diagnostic test. That route, you can find out the nature & extent of the problem and a treatment plan can be formed.

Good luck.
