he is 69 & has be admitted to hospital recently and is awaiting an angiogram however his health deteriorating. he have a swollen tummy, swollen legs, shortness of breath, hallucinations, weight loss, dry mouth with a bite of cardboard. does anyone know what could be wrong or what we can do in the meantime please? many thanks.
Answers:    This is far too serious for anything you can do to label a difference. It sounds like heart failure with fluid retention. I am rather sure the doctors/surgeons know exactly what they can or can't do for your father, and if you talk to them ( - ask the nurses to make arrangements for you to speak to one of the doctors as soon as you can ) and if you are sensible rather than hysterical or ardent, you will get a sensible answer.
