"My mammogram shows a shadow. Should I be worried?"?

I have had both cysts and a cancerous tumour show up on a mammogram.

Without self an expert I had no way of distinguishing them.

It took further testing, starting near an ultrasound and continuing with a biopsy before a definite cancer diagnosis could be made.

What is your Dr aphorism about this "shadow"?

Your medical professional is in the best position to interpret any medical results for you.
Have they called you backbone for a second mammogram or an ultrasound? If not then you don't have to worry. Cancer shows up as "White" on a mammogram, although it can also be confused beside calcifications.
